I’m Alex, and I live and work in Brooklyn. My writing appears in Granta, The New York Times Book Review, The Point, The Baffler, Forever Magazine, and Jewish Currents. I’ve received grants and fellowships from Lighthouse Works, MacDowell, The Center for Fiction, and Spruceton Inn’s Artist Residency.

My first novel, Worry, was named one of the best books of 2024 by TheNew Yorker, Vogue, the BBC, The Washington Post, NPR, and more; it’s now available in paperback wherever books are sold.
