I’m Alex, and I’m a writer living in Brooklyn, NY. My stories, essays, and reviews have appeared in Granta, The New York Times Book Review, The Point, The Baffler, and Jewish Currents, among other outlets. I’ve received grants and fellowships from Lighthouse Works, MacDowell, The Center for Fiction, and Spruceton Inn’s Artist Residency.

My first novel, Worry, was named one of the best books of 2024 by The New Yorker, Vogue, the BBC, The Washington Post, NPR, and more; it’s now available in paperback wherever books are sold.
